\n\t Waxing has been around since the mid 4000 BC in ancient India where it was a home-made solution made out of a sugar and lemon to form a resin. It took the western world a few centuries to catch up but we now see it as an easy and relatively pain-free\n\t treatment for unwanted body hair.

\n\t Waxing can be used to treat unwanted hair on nearly every part of the body from eyebrows to toe hair.

\n\t At Bella Donna we pride ourselves on using the best quality wax and cloth strips we can find as well as ensuring the highest levels of hygiene and sanitation to ensure your waxing experience is worry free.

\n\t We currently use two (2) types of waxes:<\/p>\n

  • Strip Wax – This type of wax is normally used for larger areas and involves using a thin application of wax and removing the hair using a cloth strip, against the hair growth.<\/li>\n\t\t
  • Hot (or Hard) Wax – This type of was is used for smaller, more delicate areas. The wax is applied quite thickly, allowed to cool and again a cloth strip is used to remove the hair. Normally the therapist will follow up with \n\t\ttweezers to ensure all unwanted hair is removed.<\/li>\n\t <\/ul>\n

\n\t Pain-free hair reduction works by emitting pulses of intense light into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and converted to heat. The heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair.

\n\t After completing the course for your hair and skin type (usually between 4 and 10 sessions), only occasional maintenance may be needed to ensure that you remain hair-free forever!

\nElectrolysis is the only permanent form of hair removal.\nElectrolysis is the removal of unwanted hair by inserting a fine needle into the hair follicle and applying a small electric current. This type of hair removal has been around for centuries and is the only technique that will treat grey hair, white hair, fine blonde and fine dark hair to achieve permanent hair removal.\n\nAt Bella Donna we have over 35 years experience in Electrolysis. We only use disposable needles and the needles are only inserted into the hair follicle, not the skin!
